Schizophrenia & Psychotic Disorders
Imagine your mind playing tricks on you, making you see or hear things that aren’t there, or making it hard to think clearly. That’s what it can feel like to live with schizophrenia, a chronic brain disorder that affects about 1% of people in Malaysia. It can bring about confusing and frightening experiences like delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thoughts, making it hard to find motivation and engage with the world.
While it’s a long-term condition, it’s important to know that treatment can make a huge difference. Many symptoms can significantly improve, and the chances of them returning can be lowered with the right support.
There are different types of schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, such as: Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and delusional disorder.
